Dominican Sisters Remembered

At today's liturgy a special plaque was unveiled in the College Chapel.  It notes the names of the Dominican Sisters who are buried in Oamaru.  Fittingly, Sister Mary Horn spoke in Father Wayne's absence and she shared a wonderful quote which challenged students to be courageous and brave ..... Catherine, daughter of Dominic in the 14th century said "Proclaim the truth and do not be silent through fear.  Nothing is ever achieved without much enduring.  Start being brave about everything.  We've had enough exhortations to be silent!  Cry out with a thousand tongues.  I see the world is rotten because of silence!"
