Student Absences

STUDENT ABSENCES


If a student is going to be absent from school, parents and caregivers are asked to phone the College Absence Line or go on line to the Report Absence page on the school website (www.stkevins.school.nz/permissions-portal/report-absences), before 9am on that day.  You should give the student's name, year level, the reason they are going to be absent and the date they are expected to return to school.


If a student is going to be absent from school due to, for example, an upcoming medical appointment etc a note from a parent or caregiver must be given to the Year Level Dean prior to that date.  If a student is going to be absent from school for more than three days due to a planned event, for example, a family holiday, then a request to be absent from school must be made in writing to Mr Olsen, Principal.
